TURKANA SCARF – INSPIRATION & PROCESS
Complex and possessing an extraordinary depth and detail, this unique scarf stems from an original, carved paper composition created while the artist was in residence in Africa. This sculpture was inspired by the fierce winds scattering the surface of Lake Turkana. The result is a dramatic fabric that truly defies description, providing a haunting dimensionality that recalls the work of M.C. Escher. Turkana’s avant-garde, optical properties, which also appear soft and intricately woven, will surely make a strong statement.

TIDEPOOL SCARF – INSPIRATION
This organic pattern takes its inspiration from the magnificent tide pools of California. A golden lace emerges from this improvised hand-drawn gesture. Graceful arches and symmetrical medallions bring sophistication and drama to the Tidepool scarf. Elements such as water-eroded rock formations and the mercurial tides dance in a memorable fashion.
